The Northern Lights Dancer chain bracelet is crafted with recycled sterling silver and labradorite gemstones, to reflect the dancing Northern Lights in dark Orkney night skies. 

According to Inuit folklore, warriors found the Northern Lights (or Aurora Borealis) trapped in rocks along the Labrador coastline in Canada. One freed them with a spear, but some of the lights remained trapped in what became known as labradorite. Often seen in Orkney on dark moonless winter nights lighting up the sky in the north, they are known locally as ‘merry dancers’.

Its creation was inspired by the magical Northern Lights night sky, full of light, movement and colours which are celebrated on our islands.

The bracelet is made from solid recycled sterling silver with a 32mm long charm. The bracelet length is adjustable between 7 and 7.5 inches. If you would prefer an alternative length please contact us.
